About Us
Since 1998, the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project has worked with the community of teachers, students, and leaders that comprise Westminster Community Charter School. Westminster, once one of Buffalo’s most troubled schools, has seen its test scores rise from the bottom to the top of the district. The Project’s work at Westminster, which has been supported by a partnership with M&T Bank, is now an integral part of the school’s curriculum and culture. Westminster is now a teaching resource for the surrounding community.
