Kathleen Smidt, a second grade teacher, and Angela Vaughn, a fifth grade teacher, identify methods to help real readers discuss books and offer tips on how to initiate successful partnerships and book clubs in your classroom. Here Angela discusses the importance of “selling” books to your students and Kate shares her suggestions for modeling and supporting effective partner talk.
